VANI has been running internship programs for national and international students and practitioners since 2004. The Internship offered by VANI provides students an opportunity to learn about India's developmental challenges and using participatory research to enable vibrant, gender-equal societies.

Over the years, interns from University of Victoria, Canada; Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland; University of Melbourne, Australia; University of Paris, France; University of Warwick, U.K.; Lingnan University, Hong Kong and leading indian colleges and universities have developed participatory research and community engagement skills, which they have gone on to use in their research and professional work.
