Amod K. Kanth is a renowned social development expert and a former senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officer with an illustrious career spanning over three decades in public service and NGO leadership. As the founder and mentor of the Prayas JAC Society, he has pioneered large-scale initiatives for the protection, rehabilitation, and socio-economic empowerment of marginalized children, youth, and women across India. A decorated former Director General of Police, he is recognized for his groundbreaking investigations into high-profile criminal cases and his instrumental role in shaping national policies and legislation, including the Juvenile Justice Act and POCSO Act. A recognized thought leader and award recipient for his contributions to both law enforcement and social welfare, he holds a Master’s degree in History and a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Delhi University.
