VANI’s Privileges & Accomplishments

• National Secretariat to assist Technical Advisory Group (TAG) on Jawaharlal Nehru Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM) of Government of India

• Chaired the expert group on ‘Capacity Building, Training and Governance’ of task force organised to draft national policy on voluntary sector, Planning Commission, GOI.

• Member and Co- Convener of the Sub-Group II of the Steering Committee on voluntary sector in context of formulation of Eleventh Five Year Plan (2007-2012),to review procedures and guidelines of the Government of involving Voluntary Organizations (VOs) in different schemes and suggest simplified mechanisms for appraising and monitoring the work VOs, Planning Commission, GOI.

• Member of task force to compile Satellite Accounts on Non Profit Institutions, Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, GOI.

• Member of national NGO task force on Disaster Management, NDMA, GOI.

• Member of advisory committee of The Affinity Group of National Associations (AGNA), CIVICUS, South Africa.

• Special invitee by the French Government to attend the highest –level Ministerial Conference on “Innovative Financing for Development” and also to attend a meeting of experts on the solidarity contribution on airline tickets in Paris.
